Darl Sutherland has coached several provincial champions, national champions, OFSAA medalists, and team Championships. Coach Sutherland has been Head Coach on 7 occasions for Team Ontario at National Competitions including Track and Cross-Country.
As an athlete Darl Sutherland was nationally ranked in the 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon, full marathon, and ultra marathon. He was ranked in the top 20 on several occasions in Canada.

Gabrielle Moore Clarke is a competitive athlete and coach. Gabrielle's has experience as an athlete and coach at Provincial and National events in both Track and Cross Country.
Gabrielle has worked with our seniors and youth leading/creating clinics in Track and Cross Country in 2024, & 2025.
Gabrielle is a post secondary student who will be attending Trent University in September 2026.
Kawartha Lakes Lightning is very lucky to have such a gem working with our youth.
